You know how usually in the summer, it's fun to go out and play and listen to music and play games and do art and stuff?
And you know how all this COVID pandemic nonsense is keeping us from doing all those fun things?
Well guess what. We're bringing the party to you. REMOTELY.
What and where is this event?
The Block Party is a remote streaming event on Discord -- specifically the NGP Discord Server. You pop into Discord, you'll see lots of special audio/video channels you can join that will feature different activities.
You can expect to find:
- Live DJs spinning tunes
- Illustrators and animators (some you might have heard of...) streaming art and hanging out
- Possibly said illustrators and animators drawing commissions for YOU, right there, on the spot
- Party games like Jackbox
- A stream of NG content
- Recordings for The Newgrounds Podcast throughout
- The epic finale and winner reveal of the Xinxinix pARTy Art Contest
- Raffles to win prizes (buy tickets now!!!)
- A movie watchalong
When is the event?
The Block Party will take place on Saturday, August 29th, 2020.
The Opening Kickoff show will start at 3:30 PM EST.
Music, games, and art will be going on from the end of the Opening Show to the beginning of the Closing Show.
(Some artists might start streaming before the opening show. We'll see!)
The Closing show, as well as Xin's winner reveal, will start at 9:00 PM EST.
The movie will be after that!
